Is Behind Beauty only for professional makeup artists?

Behind Beauty was set up as a means of further education, career development and a source of inspiration for upcoming and established makeup artists. However, anyone with a keen interest in makeup, interest in the industry or considering a career in the industry could benefit from our masterclasses. Just note that some of the tutorials will assume some prior knowledge in makeup theory or application.

I have been a makeup artist for years. Can I still learn something on the Behind Beauty platform?

We strongly believe that everyone still has something to learn and can be inspired by other artists. Our Artists bring with them a wealth of experience and knowledge of recent industry trends. Furthermore, we cover multiple niches within the beauty space so you might pick up inspiration from an unexpected corner of the industry. 

Which Artist will host the next masterclass?

Keep an eye on our social media channels (follow here our Instagram or TikTok) to stay updated on the latest news. Also, subscribe to our newsletter here to be the first to know when a new Masterclass is launched.

Do you endorse products?

Any product recommendations you find on the Behind Beauty platform are directly made by our Artists. All our Artists recommend products based on their own preferences and experiences.

Do you use affiliate links?

Yes, we do use affiliate links to certain recommended products to make it easier for you to find products directly. However, all recommendations are made by Artists based on their preference and experiences with the products and are not influenced by Behind Beauty.

How do I get a VAT receipt for my payment?

Please email support@behind-beauty.com if you require a VAT receipt.

Can I use Behind Beauty for my students / for commercial purposes?

A Behind Beauty registration is for personal, individual consumption only. If you would like to discuss commercial partnerships, please get in touch at support@behind-beauty.com so we can discuss the opportunities available.

How do I contact Behind Beauty?

If you are not a member yet or have a general query, please email us on support@behind-beauty.com and we will try to get back to you as soon as possible.

ABOUT YOUR MEMBERSHIP

How long do I have access to the Masterclasses?

You will have access to the Masterclasses throughout your membership period, which is one year from the day you bought the membership. If you do not cancel your membership, you will automatically be charged and get access for the next year.

Can I become a member if I do not live in the UK?

Yes, you can access the content on the Behind Beauty platform from anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection. Please note that we charge the subscription fee in British Pounds.

Is it possible to get a refund?

We offer refunds within 14 days of your purchase in case you change your mind. Our only condition is that you have not watched more than 15 minutes of Masterclasses on our platform (to clarify, this is 15 minutes on our platform in total, not of each Masterclass separately). If you satisfy this condition, you can email us on support@behind-beauty.com and start the refund process with us.

Can I cancel my membership anytime?

You may cancel a recurring membership at any time, but please note that if you cancel your membership before the end of the current membership period, we will not refund any fees already paid to us. Following any cancellation, however, you will continue to have access to the service through the end of your current membership period.

How do I cancel my membership?

Once signed into your account, you can cancel your recurring membership by clicking My Account or Dashboard from the top navigation menu. Select Billing and locate your membership plan at the bottom of the page. Click Change Plan and Cancel Membership. Your membership will be cancelled and your access will be removed at the end of your current payment period.


Please note that we do not refund any fees already paid for the membership period, but you will continue to have access to the platform through to the end of your current membership period.

How do I reset my password?

On the login page, click Forgot Password, enter the email associated with your account, and click Send Instructions. The instruction email will arrive in your inbox shortly. In the instruction email, click Reset Password and you will be directed to select a new password.

How do I change my password?

Once signed into your account, you can change your password by clicking My Account or Dashboard from the top navigation menu. Select Password and update your password.

How do I update my billing information?

Once signed into your account, you can update your billing information by clicking My Account or Dashboard from the top navigation menu. Select Billing and update your billing information.

Where can I watch the Masterclasses?

All our Masterclasses can be viewed online through the Behind Beauty platform. Our website adapts to phone and tablet browsers so you can watch our content anywhere as long as you have an internet connection.

My credit card is being declined. Why is that?

Many credit/debit cards have online purchase restrictions. If your card is being declined, please contact your credit card company to let them know the purchase you would like to make is valid. Also, certain credit/debit cards do not allow for recurring membership billing, and therefore, may be denied.

My video does not playback smoothly. How can I fix this?

Video playback depends on several factors. To improve your playback experience, make sure you have a fast, stable internet connection. We recommend using the most recent version of Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. You may experience playback issues with outdated devices and browsers.

Can I watch videos using Chromecast and AirPlay?

Yes! Both Chromecast and Airplay are compatible with our site.

To use Chromecast: Locate the Chromecast icon in the bottom right corner of the video you want to cast. Click the icon and select the correct Chromecast from the pop-up in your browser.

To use AirPlay: Open the video on your apple device and click the AirPlay icon in the bottom left corner.

Can I watch offline / download any of the content?

Unfortunately, at the moment you cannot download any of our content and you can only watch when you are online.

Which browsers are supported?

While we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome, we also support Firefox and Safari browser released within the last five years. You may experience playback issues when using an out of date browser or any version of Internet Explorer.
